Walt Lee “Near Rosing” SOLD P787

Walt Lee (1888-1980) never stopped painting. In his last years impaired mobility forced an inspired choice: he revisited scenes of his youth: old sketches and paintings became the jumping off points for his new canvases, the intensity of the original experiences and observations returning undiminished in the new works.

“Near Rosing,” from an original 1938 sketch, measures 12 1/2″w x 10 1/2″ high framed; painting is 8 1/2″w x 7″ high.
