Porcelain Enamel Mercury Glass Stop Sign Auto Club of Southern California A1102 SOLD

A true survivor of the streets of Los Angeles. This vintage Stop sign, almost an antique, dates to the 1930’s. It’s in good condition with minimal chips to the surface. All the mercury glass is in great shape and still doing what it did back when it was made: reflecting light so you see the sign at night! 24″ x 24″. In great shape and ready to enhance any man cave of sign collection. A fabulous┬áreminder that it was the Auto Club that first took it upon itself to provide traffic signs in the hair-raisingly perilous early days of “motoring”.
