Man Smoking “All In A Day’s Work” Oil on Canvas P800

Here’s a beauty by a very skillful painter. Signed lower right corner. But extremely hard to decipher. We recently were alerted that it appears to be John Hubbard Rich. The light and shadow is extremely similar to one in need of total restoration sold through Bonhams of San Francisco. Recently cleaned. Large, and in its original, and majestic hand carved frame. Painting 30″ x 40″. Titled on the back, “All In A Day’s Work!” looks to be from the hand of an illustration artist. Last few letters in the name appear to be DMAN. I love the evening ¬†twilight hitting the adobe wall and oil jars, and the contemplative smoke. Circa 1933.
