Bandera Mexican Redware Set of Dinner Plates M519

This style from Tonala takes its name from the Spanish word meaning flag, Bandera. It is coated in a red engobe glaze, then decorated with traditional designs in white. After firing, more designs are added in a green aniline dye, thereby composing the three colors of the Mexican flag.
