Cary Grant’s Spanish Colonial 18th-19th Century Trestle Table SOLD F527

Exceptional Hand made Spanish Colonial Trestle table. Circa 18th or early 19th century. Solid pine, hand Hewn Boards and pinned construction lead me to believe this was made in or around Mexico City. Slot head screws used in the restoration most likely in the 1920’s/30’s. This came from “Las Palomas”, the retreat Cary Grant owned in Palm Springs from the mid-fifties to 1972, according to the table’s last owners. Grant’s home was “built as a literal copy of a 19th-century Andalusian Spanish Farmhouse” in the 1920s and he took pains to stay true to its style.┬áNo documentation goes with this table. Price reflects its status as an antique, not as Hollywood memorabilia. Nice useable size. 25.5 DEEP X 26.5 TALL X 47 WIDE.. FOLLOW THE BLOG LINK ABOVE FOR A VIEW OF THE ITEMS IN THE HOME..
