From the Gem Theater, somewhere in Texas. Definitely from a second-tier theatre, one that played re-releases of “A” pictures from a few years back and first run “B” Pictures. Curiously, The Lone Star State is notable for having built a multitude of small movie houses and few if any “movie palaces”. Which is not very Texas. Except that it is. And when you think about it, “Gem” is the perfect name for a tiny theater. We’ve attached a few pictures of these jewels of the Texan celluloid past.
