Elaine Bailey Dooley, primarily known as Elaine Lois Bailey, was born in Salt Lake City in 1914. She studied at the California School of Fine Arts in the 1930s while living in Berkeley. By the mid-1940s her married name was Dooley. She was a resident of Manassas, Virginia at the time of her death in 1995. Exhibited: Golden Gate International Exposition, 1940; San Francisco Art Ass’n, 1940-46.
