Frederico Giorgi 1915 Gold Medal San Francisco Symposium. Gold over bronze, 2.75 diameter.

Frederico Giorgi: Born in Rome, Italy on April 1, 1878.  After graduating from the National Academy in Rome, Giorgi moved to the U.S. about 1902.  He painted frescoes and portraits in New Orleans until 1915.  At that time he was called to Hollywood by D. W. Griffith to work on the film “Intolerance.”   He remained in Los Angeles until his demise on Nov. 6, 1963.
