Jack Rennick Attributed Pine Settee SOLD F556

Jack Rennick attributed settee carved of solid pine. Owned by “Wild Bill Elliott” [1904 – 1965] Western Movie Star, a great fan and collector of Rennick’s work. Acquired by the last owner’s parents in 1958 when they bought Elliot’s Malibu beach home, completely furnished with Jack Rennick furniture and many Early American pieces (in vogue in 1941). This settee is unusual in design and execution: all hand made and carved, mortice and tenon. Solid yet spare and elegant. Made in the  tradition continued by Nakashima and Maloof of unusual design and painstaking execution. An amazing piece that will enhance any room, any collection. 19″ deep, 36″ wide, 33″ high.
