This is absolutely glorious. Never set and pristine, and one of the most elegant Moorish-inflected designs we have ever come across. The Los Angeles coastline, before it became the home of the billionaires and the surf-rat’s turf, was the birthplace of a host of legendary potteries, whose output in the 1920s and 30s remains unequalled for quality and beauty. The reason? Really superb clay.
